Oh hey man just listening to the podcast now. No worries! You sound totally bummed. It's OK man. The podcast does not HAVE to be weekly.

What if myself and others could help out? I'm definitely more of a metal head, but I could definitely do a podcast of electronic and other related genres. Maybe we could mix it up though?

Let me know. Maybe I will make a thread in the audio forum about it.

YouriX responds:

I have to think about it. But thanks for the help! The podcast is now my baby, so i will keep doing it whenever i have the time. Anyways thanks again for the suggestion.

Loved the new episode! The music was great. I liked the new intro. The addition of the hidden gems was cool too. I've found a TON of those under heavy metal, so I can't imagine how many more are in the electronic genres!

Thanks for the shout out - I appreciate it.

YouriX responds:

No problem man! And yeah there is alot of hidden talents here on newgrounds!

This is a fantastic piece. I love the...ambiance (?) it being live added, like the children and other people talking throughout. I was very much reminded of the music from the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Well done.

Delete999 responds:

Thank you :) Yes the people watching the performance at the actual event actually caught on well in the recording, especially the lady singing to the melody in the beginning at 1:27. That moment is epic haha

The podcast is really coming along nicely. I liked the interview. I think the mix of talking to music was great. The music choices and production were fantastic as usual.

YouriX responds:

Thank you! I have to say i like this structure alot! I will do a good balance of talking and music it seems to work well.

So far this my best episode so far :D

Damn, seriously impressive work!

DanJohansen responds:

Thanks a ton man glad you dig it, also, thanks to the awesome website and servers on this site we get to share music for free like this seamlessly, good job!

Fantastic. You're getting me to really like Industrial more and more.

Lich responds:

Electro-Industrial and Metal are almost cousin genres if you think about not in a instrumental way but a whole attitude and atmosphere kind of way haha.

I've had plenty of Metalhead describe some of it to me as 'if Black Metal musicians picked up a synthesiser' and in some instances I agree.

Some recommendations for you to check out band-wise would be some of the ones stated in my music thread as first influences for me like: C-Lekktor, Reaper, Asphyxia, Suicide Commando, Tactical Sekt, Unter Null, Psyclon Nine, Nachtmahr and God Module.

I liked the song overall and thought you did a lot of interesting things, but I just didn't feel that there was much variety and uniqueness here to really grab hold of me. I really liked the beginning, but the song quickly got a bit tedious. The track itself is too long on its own. I did like what you did with the synths though.

I see you tagged Meshuggah. I tend to feel similarly about their music so maybe it's just me, but I feel that Meshuggah gets quite tedious after a while, and I really never go back and listen to their albums. Nothing really kicks me in the sack and makes me want more, except maybe the main riff to Rational Gaze, but even that gets tedious quickly. Almost all of their albums sound the same to me after awhile.

OceanPlanet responds:

I can totally see where you're coming from and Meshuggah is my biggest influence in music, but I do find your review helpful, thanks a lot for listening man. It's in demo phase so I can take what you've said and play around with it. I was thinking it was a bit to long, So i think shortening it might be a good idea. However, really appreciate your time on commenting and listening man :) thank you.

A cool jam. Makes me want to hop on the drum set and jam out with you.

Viper responds:

Thanks. I really wish I had people to jam with like in person. But no one is interested in the music I play.

This is a great cover. Well done.

PENTAhazardous responds:

Thanks a lot, man, I appreciate it.

Fantastic cover.

Extar responds:

Glad you enjoyed it! This is ridiculously old now though, my new stuff is on Bandcamp: https://extar.bandcamp.com/
