Thank you so much! I appreciate you checking it out! The whole album was pretty much written on guitar first, then bass, and then drums were last. I am not a good drummer so that took what seems like forever. Also a ton of drum edits. Been playing guitar for about 20 years at the time, but started bass and drums a while ago just to enjoy the thrill of recording without bass synths or drum samples (not that there's anything wrong with it). Anyway, thanks again!

Did you guys intend for this track to be in this key and tempo or did it just come together that way?

You used some pretty sweet gear. The Variax/Helix setup is incredible. It all sounded amazing.

We decided to arrange all the sources around D since “Title” and “Press Start” use D as the tonal center. Tempo-wise, while it could have been faster during some sections, 104 felt the most comfortable across the track to pick cleanly (those arpeggios on the acoustic are not very fun to play faster than this!) 84 felt great for the “Forest of Elrond” bridge - something to groove to without being exhausting.

Variax and Helix are a killer combo together - multiple guitars and amps at the push of a couple buttons!!
